Description of the procedure

The technique of mesothread application is a new, more effective, simple and atraumatic method of lifted contouring for the body and face.

Mesothread is a system consisting of an injection syringe-lead and the thread itself fixed on the pointed top of the needle. After inserting the thread in the tissue it by a simple movement easily comes off from the needle in its backward move. The thread is completely resorbed after 180-240 days, but the effect lasts for 2 years after implantation. The pointed syringe-lead is made of special surgical steel and its flexibility ensures a high quality of relief reconstruction. The thread for implantation is a resorbable polydioxanone-based suture material. It is exposed to strictly controlled disintegration on water and carbon dioxide.

Mesothread application advantages:

1. Correction of age-related changes in the skin by means of mesothreads is atraumatic for the patient.

2. In the procedure no cuts on the skin are performed, but the pointed incisions heal up fast without leaving any marks. No downtime.

3. The technique requires no infiltration anaesthesia thus avoiding oedema, massive haematomas and risks of allergic reactions.

4. Tissue reaction to the thread is minor and appears as a soft neocollagenogenesis without harm to tissue microcirculation. The light thickening of the connective tissue functions as a carcass for 2 years.

5. The inserted threads form a carcass of an even thickness and at the same time the rate of resorption is equal in all spots of the treated area.

6. Mesothreads stimulate angiogenesis.

7. Minimum time is required for the treatment procedure (30 min).

8. Mesothreads are 100% biocompatible with the tissues.
