PIGMENTATION BALANCING PROCEDURE
Pigmentation is a result of synthesis of melanin and penetrating it into the skin tissues, hair follicles or eye pupils. Melanin is produced by melanocytes. Colouration of skin is determined by amount of melanocytes, their capacity to carry melanin to keratinocytes in the upper epidermal layers, and on the size of melanosomes containing melanin granules. There are several types of pigmentation:
GENETIC PIGMENTATION
What relates to skin pigmentation, there is a great multitude of genetic difference among people on the earth . Skin colouration of different nations depends on stronger or lighter pigmentation. Skin may be lighter or darker, including all shades ranging from very dark to very light skin.
PIGMENTATION CAUSED BY UV RAYS
This type of pigmentation occurs as a natural skin protective reaction. Skin colouration changes according to the strength of UV rays.
AGE-RELATED PIGMENTATION
As people age, darker spots may appear – even very dark, on their skin, particularly on the face or hands. Such pigmented spots are caused by high melanin concentration in epidermal keratinocytes.
DEPIGMENTATION: NEW DISCOVERIES!
Our scientists have discovered how to influence melanogenesis in its initial stage in DNA genes contained in the melanocyte nucleus.
DEPIGMENTATION: A NEW METHOD!
Use of the majority of cosmetic products is based on the traditional method to make an influence on the upper layers of the skin.
The new procedure PERFECTION-WHITE EXPERTISE offers an innovative approach to problem solution based on studies of the biological mechanism of pigmentation and envisaging a two-level activity:
- change the initial genetic mechanism that causes pigmentation.
- change the activity of different substances responsible for production of the pigment
KEY ENZYME: TYROSINASE
Tyrosinase is an enzyme catalising melanin production by means of tyrosine oxidation. Tyrosinase is a protein originating from combination of amino-acids. This combination is determined by information the carriers of which are the DNA genes of cell nucleus. These genes could be called “tyrosinase production codes”. In order to become active and could function as an enzyme tyrosinase must endure certain transformations under phosphorylation. The process of tyrosinase synthesis is catalised by a special ferment protein kinase C (PKC). PKC activity in its turn is controlled by Calcium ion Ca2+. The activity of tyrosinase is thus dependent on the presence of Calcium ions in melanocytes.

REGULATION OF GENETIC PIGMENTATION WITH ODAWHITE®
O.D.A.white® (octadecene acid) is obtained via bio-fermentation from natural oleic acid of plant origin.
It inhibits the metabolic process of melanin synthesis in the level of melanocyte nucleus. Decreasing the synthesis of mRNA (messenger ribonucleic acid) that codes the production of tyrosinase, prevents the production of tyrosinase, and subsequently melanin.
HOW?
Genetic activity of the DNA trannoscription factors could be regulated by peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPAR). PPAR receptors belong to nuclear receptor family – they are found in membrane of every type of cell nucleus, and their functions are regulated by special molecules (the so called ligands). In their active position PPAR receptors stimulate DNA trannoscription, and subsequently protein synthesis.
